‘ia ora na e maeva!

Welcome! My name is Rani.

For the longest time, friends and family have been pushing me to do more online… for the longest time, I hesitated, not sure where and how to start… but ultimately, it all became clear and I figured out the obvious: be the storyteller that you are!
I have always loved writing and capturing the beauty and the pulse of life through my lense.

In Tahiti, Rani (pronounced rah-ni) means the sky, the heavens and everything above. A pre-destined name for the life I lived so far? I guess so!

Travel is in my DNA, it has always been.
Our ancestors were amongst the greatest navigators. They traveled the wide ocean guided by the stars, the winds, the currents, and the birds. They had acquired an extremely deep knowledge of nature and nature had became their sole compass. They explored the vast ocean, settling the lands on their way, one after the other. They lived, like many other indigenous nations, in perfect sync with Nature and its cycles. With the sky and the stars as roof and pillars, the ocean as their vessel, the earth as their sanctuary to regenerate and rejuvenate, there were no secrets nor limits to their knowledge and wisdom.
To those who walked the path before us, thank you! Mauru’uru for the legacy! With deep gratitude and reverence.

I have always embraced life as a magic dynamic, a beautiful dance between movement and stillness, matter and subtle. I have embraced life as the magnificent, enriching journey it is. Journey to unknown lands, and journey to the Self.
I love to learn, explore, discover… I love to meet new people and listen to their stories.

Through this space, I have chosen to share travel stories, personal insights, inspiration and beauty, and wisdom acquired from my ancestry, the trainings I took but most of all from my own experiences along the way. Through this space, I have chosen to honor my exploress heart and the sacredness of Life.

This is not a travel guide or Wikipedia. But rather, a humble invitation to be part of the story.

From my heart to yours,

Rani

“When we contemplate the whole globe as one great dewdrop, striped and dotted with continents and islands, flying through space with other stars all singing and shining together as one, the whole universe appears as an infinite storm of beauty.”

— John Muir
